This August, the Ebenezer Maxwell Mansion will present Henrik Ibsen's Victorian theater masterpiece: A Doll's House. On a fateful Christmas in 1879, Nora Helmer finds herself being blackmailed, and discovers that her marriage may not be what it seems. A Doll's House was hugely controversial when it was first produced for advocating women's rights, and our site-specific production set in the Mansion's parlor will be unlike any you've ever seen. Directed by Josh Hitchens, with a cast including Jennifer Summerfield, Peter Zielinskli, Ryan Walter, Megan Edelman, Linda Minster and Jordan Mottram.
Champagne and hors d'oeurves will be served.
Cost: $30 for Friday, Saturday afternoon and Sunday performances. $35 for Saturday night. Saturday night performance includes remarks by Carrie Hogan, curator The American Swedish Historical Museum
